About Acupuncture Treatments

The initial treatment lasts about 1 1/2 hours, which includes discussion of your medical history and receiving your acupuncture treatment. Chinese herbal formulas, in pill form, may be recommended. Follow-up treatments last about an hour. It is important to eat lightly before your treatment. Once the pins are inserted you rest for 10-30 minutes and often will fall asleep. Afterwards most feel a peaceful energy. Sometimes symptoms may be exacerbated for a short time before feeling relief. Drinking water and rest will help to alleviate symptoms.
