Our Services
Acupuncture
Your initial acupuncture treatment will last about 1.5 hours, which includes discussion of your medical history and receiving your acupuncture treatment. Chinese herbal formulas, in pill form, may be recommended. Follow-up treatments last about an hour. It is important to eat lightly before your treatment. Once the pins are inserted, you rest for 10-30 minutes and often will fall asleep. Afterwards most feel a peaceful energy. Sometimes symptoms may be exacerbated for a short time before feeling relief. Drinking water and resting will help to alleviate symptoms.
TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM, is a comprehensive healthcare system originating over 3000 years ago. It includes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Tui Na or Chinese Massage, Nutrition, and Exercise.
TCM is used to treat pain, stress, disease, and dysfunction in the body. It works to restore the natural balance and healthy state of the body, mind, and spirit. It is also used to prevent illness.
TCM recognizes the vital energy, or Qi, which is the life force that drives all living things. Qi flows through channels or meridians in the body similar to how water flows in a river. Each meridian is associated with an organ system. Twelve primary meridians function in an organized system. Disease occurs iwth imbalance, resulting in excess or deficient amounts of Qi in the meridians. TCM works to alleviate this imbalance and to restore harmony.

Acupuncture points are specific locations on the meridians and have specific functions. By inserting sterile, disposable pins the thickness of human hairs into these points, one's Qi is regulated toward balance.Chinese Herbal Formulas also work to restore balance in the body. Each contains 3-15 different herbs in ratios found to eliminate side effects and enhance the desired properties of the herbs. Chinese herbal formulas are used for both acute and chronic conditions, some being taken for only days or as needed and others for several months to help the body help itself.
NAET
Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique, or NAET, is a program which treats allergies or sensitivities to any substance that the body reacts to, such as foods, pollens, dust, animals, chemicals, etc. NAET is also effective in treating chronic disease states such as MS, fibromyalgia, lupus, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Other treatable conditions include irritable bowel syndrome, headaches, and asthma.
The treatments are easy, and avoidance of the treated substance lasts only hours, not weeks or months. Treatments can also be done with acupressure instead of acupuncture so that anyone can benefit--including infants, children, and anyone who is sensitive to acupuncture pins.
